Handwriting Program
Therapeutic activities are designed to enhance pencil grasp, fine motor skills, postural control, cutting, and letter/number formation.
Activities of Daily Living
Intervention focuses on gaining independence in the following areas: dressing, feeding, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, and age appropriate sports activities.
Sensory Integration Program
Treatment addresses a child's response to touch, movement, smell, sound, and light. Activities are designed to help organize the brain for more appropriate motor responses. Decreased aggression and frustration, as well as improved attention, coordination and self esteem are our goals.
Upper Extremity Program
Children with upper extremity dysfunction, including brachial plexus injuries, will gain strength and range of motion to increase functional abilities. Custom splints are available.
Oral Motor/Feeding
This program introduces activities to increase the tolerance of varied tastes, textures, and smells, while improving oral motor skills. Mealtime becomes a more pleasurable experience.
Social Skills Groups
An activity based group is the best place for a child to learn how to interact socially. Weekly groups help children learn the skills necessary to make friends, communicate feelings, deal with conflict, and interact appropriately with peers and adults.
Yoga for Kids
Children with low tone or muscle weakness have difficulty engaging in activities. This program helps strengthen core muscles and can assist in toilet training, improve handwriting, and enhance athletic abilities.
"Mommy/Daddy and Me" Classes
Several classes are offered, including "Thera-Playtime," "Baby's First Massage," and "Music for Me".
